"TVU's Creative Screenwriting MA teaches a unique blend of craft and creativity"
Laura Lamson, screenwriter for BBC, ITV, Warner Bros

Welcome to the Creative Screenwriting MA at Thames Valley University (TVU).

On this site you will find in-depth information about the course, what you will study, who we are and the exciting development of our HEFCE-funded online learning project, OWL. There is also a taster of our teaching approach, with writing exercises and a scene-writing article, plus info on how to get your short scripts made into films.

Situated by Ealing Studios in west London, TVU has excellent links with industry and the MA offers regular networking opportunities and sessions with a range of practitioner guest speakers as well as organised course outings. The MA also supports students even after graduation, with a Pitching Event and promotional webpages.

For general information about the university, including accommodation at our brand new Paragon complex and course fees, go to the TVU website.

The MA starts in October, 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time, delivered as evening classes (6-9pm, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings) mixed with online learning. We are currently taking applications, though places are limited and early application is highly recommended. Go to the Apply page for more information.

PLEASE NOTE - we are no longer taking applications for 2007-08. If you want to apply for the programme, we will re-open applications in January 2008 for AY 2008-09.

Read all about the ethos behind TVU's innovative Creative Screenwriting MA in an extensive article in the new issue of Scriptwriter magazine.
