Vanishing Point - opens on Friday 15th October, 6.30 - 9pm
at Hotel Elephant, 77 - 85 Newington Causeway, Southwark, SE1 6BD, London
Vanishing Point is an expression of time and space, a point where our awareness of perspective disappears from view.
Ivan Black creates complex kinetic sculptures which spiral towards a shifting vanishing point. He has an obsessive interest in the search for patterns in motion, striving to identify and express these mathematical paradigms in visual terms. Forms expand and contract like fractals, identical at every scale in equations that could stretch from the infinitesimal to the infinite. Each design is part of a potentially continuous sequence, a visual snapshot of a piece of code.

Translocated is an ongoing research project by TVU lecturer Olivier Ruellet.
Translocated is a platform for reflection and artistic practices revolving around the nature of urban space as places of encounter, imagination and agency, examining the complex inter-relationships formed between people, buildings and space through shared memory and experience.
Translocated is an attempt to define the common language unknowingly shared and spoken by city dwellers, underlining the metropolis as a micro-state where notions of national culture and identity have been replaced by a unified sense of belonging.
3D 2D: Object and Illusion in Print: Prints from the Centre for Fine Print Research in Bristol.
This exhibition features the work of a range of artists who have worked at the Centre for Fine Print Research, UWE in Bristol. Each of the works have been realised through the use of cutting edge digital print technologies and explore new relationships between the notion of object and illusion made possible by such means.
Mobile Runner is more of a proof of concept than anything else. What it also shows that you don’t have to develop an awesome app / interface to engage. It is the imagination that engages and the interface is just the result. Mobile Runner is a simple animated man that reacts to iPhone accelerometer with a simple tap to jump button. http://www.creativeapplications.net/iphone/mobile-runner-openframeworks-iphone/
