The second edition of Punto y Raya (Dot & Line), which has earned the title of “most abstract festival in the world”, will take place from November 25th to 29th 2009 at ARTS SANTA MÒNICA (Barcelona), with no entry fee.

The flipbook is an old mean to create the illusion of movement. It allows you to tell imaginative stories in a simple way and can even serve as help to develop animation ideas.

Carol MacGillivray

Carol MacGillivray (MA PG Cert) started out as a Film Editor and claymation Animator. She has Editing credits on over 80 hours of broadcast film having worked in documentary, drama, music videos, animations and commercials. She was Partner, Director and Animator for Giblets – A successful Pop promo and Animation company and proud owner of a Gold record for Reet Petite a fully animated Pop promo which was the 1987 Christmas no1. As part of Giblets, Carol was Co-Writer and Director of The Hangover, a combined live-action and animation film for C4/British Screen – winner of Le Grand Prix de Jury. Premier Plans – Angers 1990.
After teaching at Royal College of Art, Carol won an Arts and Humanities Research Board award to study MA Digital Moving Image at London Guildhall.
